A habit tracker with nothing to sign into and nowhere to upload
Diplina has no account and no servers; habits, notes and attachments stay on the phone. Diplina's Android manifest declares no internet permission, and the build fails if one is added.
What the app does not contain
- No account and no sign-in.
- No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no third-party tracking code.
- No server of its own — there is nothing to upload to.
The one network touch per platform
On Android, Google Play's billing library (for the one-time Pro purchase) and Play's in-app update check; on iPhone, Apple's StoreKit. Both are the stores' own code. Your habits, notes and attachments are never part of it.
What's in the Android manifest
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED | re-arms your reminders after the phone restarts |
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM, USE_EXACT_ALARM | reminders at the minute you set |
POST_NOTIFICATIONS | shows the reminder |
VIBRATE | lets a reminder vibrate |
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE | added by libraries and removed again |
The Play listing shows a few more: INTERNET comes from Google's billing library, and AndroidX adds USE_BIOMETRIC for the optional app lock and WAKE_LOCK for background work. On iPhone, Diplina's privacy manifest declares no collected data and no tracking.
The honest trade-off
Because nothing goes to a cloud, Diplina's data is excluded from the phone's own cloud backup. Moving to a new phone means restoring your own backup file — which is why backups, including automatic ones to a folder you pick, are free.
Also private on the phone
An optional app lock uses your phone's biometrics or passcode, and it is free. Diplina works in flight mode, completely.
Questions
Does Diplina work offline?
Yes, completely.
Can I lock it?
Yes, for free, with your phone's biometrics or passcode.
What happens on a new phone?
You restore your own backup file; nothing is in a cloud.
Does Diplina collect anything about me?
No. It has no analytics and no account, and nothing you write leaves the phone.
